Prodependence: Beyond the Myth of Codependency

Dr. Robert Weiss’s groundbreaking book that challenges traditional notions of codependency, especially in the context of loving someone with an addiction or mental health challenge.

If you love someone struggling with addiction, you’re no stranger to the heartbreak, confusion, and emotional exhaustion it can bring. As Catholic women, we’re called to love as Christ loves — with mercy, hope, and unwavering compassion. But even Christ set boundaries, spoke truth, and called others to conversion.

This space is for women like you — women who want to love faithfully without enabling, to forgive without becoming resentful, and to walk this cross-carrying journey with strength, grace, and deep trust in God. Through Catholic mindset coaching, you’ll learn how to set healthy boundaries, regulate your emotions, and find peace in the storm — all while allowing God’s love to flow through you to those you care for.

❤️ Why It’s Powerful for Catholic Wives Married to Men with Addiction:

❤️ This book affirms their desire to stay in the marriage and love sacrificially, without being shamed or labeled.

❤️ It aligns more closely with Catholic values of marital fidelity, redemptive suffering, and hope for healing.

❤️ It helps shift the narrative from “you’re codependent” to “your love matters — let’s make it healthy and sustainable.”

Meet Michele

Greetings! I’m Michele Simpson, originally from Orange County, CA, and have been residing in the serene landscapes of North Idaho since 2004. I’ve been on a remarkable journey as a wife, mother of 10, and proud grandmother of 5.

My coaching adventure began in 2022 with Metanoia Catholic, unveiling the incredible power of coaching in transforming lives. It became a game-changer for me, offering practical tools to harness my thoughts and navigate the intricate terrain of family dynamics. Through coaching, I discovered the profound impact of changing myself, not others. It has been a guiding light in my relationships with my adult children and husband, fostering personal growth and resilience.

Beyond the transformative family dynamics, coaching has been a catalyst in deepening my connection with Christ. It’s a journey of learning to trust the Lord more, fostering hope in His unwavering presence.

In my academic journey, I pursued Criminal Justice at USD and Cal State Long Beach, where I also enjoyed playing basketball. Today, I find joy in the simple pleasures of nature walks, the rhythm of basketball games, and witnessing the growth of my children on and off the sports field.

Join me on this transformative journey as we explore the power of coaching, nurturing relationships, and embracing personal growth. Together, let’s discover the beauty of change within ourselves.
